Airbrush Tan
Everyone knows how harmful the sun is for our skin and yet we all want that healthy golden glow. Have you tried those messy self-tanning creams only to find a small area that you missed several hours later? We are offering a whole new innovative alternative way to get that overall tan, with or without those tan lines in only 8 minutes.
Safe to the Skin
• Will not cause Wrinkles (secret of celebrities)
• No Cancer Threat (FDA Approved Product)
• Even Application for a Beautiful, Sexy, Even Tan
• Very Affordable
How Does This Work?
Very simply, the DHA (dihydroxyacetone), reacts with the amino acids (proteins) in the outermost layer of your skin. Note: Those cells are already “dead skin”. It takes about three to four hours for the reaction to complete and look tan.
Is This Safe?
The active ingredient is dihydroxyacetone and has been approved by the FDA for cosmetic applications. The balance of the spray is composed of inert carrying agents.
We have not, to date, had any such reaction to our product, but we do know that some self tanning lotions using DHA have had customers experience a rash that lasts for a couple of hours and then disappears.
How long does the Airbrush Tan Last?
We have found that the length of tan is determined by:
The skin type: A persons skin type will react to Airbrush Tan very much like it does to the natural sun.
The amount of “wear”: Only the outermost layer of skin is “tanned”. As the skin layer is lost, so is the tan. Wear comes from: rubbing, soaking in water or long showers, tight clothing, “scratchy” clothing or bleach. You wouldn’t use an SOS pad on the finish of your new car, so don’t be abrasive to your skin and you will keep your tan longer. Finally, dry skin will shorten the life of your tan! So—Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!!! It depends on you. Four to Ten days.
How long should I allow for the treatment?
The application takes about 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 minutes to dry enough to get dressed. Always, allow 30 minutes whenever you come in for an appointment
How often should I tan? Is every day all right?
We suggest once a week, but that depends on your personal tan “wear”. We will not schedule tanning applications more than twice a week. Excessive applications may result in some discoloration.
What should I wear to be sprayed and will it damage my clothes?
You can wear a swim suit just as you would at the beach and our spray will wash out just fine with out damage to you suit or you may wish to avoid tan lines completely, it’s your choice.
I like tanning in the sun and using tanning beds. Why should I change?
We know how wonderfully warm the sun feels and how relaxing tanning beds are. We used them too!!! Some of the most recent reports show how really dangerous rays from the sun are to our skin. You may prefer the healthy tan experience to laying in a tanning bed.
What should I wear after my airbrush appointment?
You should wear loose, soft, clothing for the first 8 hours following your airbrush tanning session. You should not wear jeans or anything that could scratch your skin. It is recommended to not wear any shoes immediately following the tanning session.
How long after my tanning session will I be able to get wet?
The tan takes about 8 hours to completely set and it reaches its max at 24 hours. This means that you can’t bathe or sweat for at least 8 hours following the airbrush session.
The reason to use the Airbrush Tan system is in our name; it gives you a safe and beautiful “Airbrush Tan”.
Future Sessions:
Subsequent applications can be scheduled once a week, depending on your skin type and how you care for your skin.
